Thailand Holidays

An Overview

Thailand holidays have experienced a massive surge in popularity in recent years and it’s not hard to see why.

Beautiful beaches, buzzing nightlife and stunning scenery, not to mention affordability, have all made Thailand the go-to place in south-east Asia. Plus, it’s also referred to as the ‘Land of Smiles’ –aww!

What to eat

Holidays in Thailand are worth the trip for the food alone. Cheap and utterly mouth-watering, Thai cuisine promotes local, fresh ingredients, and is diverse in its nature. Whether you’re tucking into a pad thai from a street market, or the most divine seafood in a top local restaurant, you won’t go hungry. In fact, with so many delicious dishes to sample, you’re likely to be full to bursting time and again!

The Beaches

If you can drag yourself away from the street food for a while, Thailand is best known for its luxurious beaches. Sairee Beach and Chaweng beach are among the most popular, but the great thing about this nation is that, with such a vast coastline, there are plenty of opportunities to hop on a boat and set sail to somewhere quieter and untouched. Phang Nga Bay and its famous limestone rocks are a must-see, and from there it’s easy to scoot along to Phuket and Krabi, and their amazing white-sand beaches and great snorkelling and kayaking opportunities.

Where to go & What to see

While beach holidays in Thailand are quite clearly a big draw, white sand and tropical seas aren’t the only reason to visit. We’re spoiling you, we know! The capital, Bangkok, is a bustling city worth exploring. Not only does it boast fabulous street markets and a lively nightlife scene, but it oozes culture and tradition too. Wat Pho, home of the Reclining Buddha, is a great place to start, followed by the Grand Palace – possibly the most famous landmark in the country. If the hustle and bustle gets a bit much, couples will enjoy taking some time out at the beautiful Lumpini Park or even get the full Thailand experience with an authentic Thai massage.
