Floating off the coast of Krabi in the Andaman Sea, the Phi Phi Islands – also known as Koh Phi Phi – are among the most naturally spectacular places to visit during holidays in Thailand.
While they can easily be enjoyed as a day trip from Krabi or Phuket, you’ll barely scratch the surface when it comes to uncovering all the breath-taking beauty they have to offer, so holidays on the Phi Phi Islands are definitely worth booking out a few extra days of your itinerary.

The small archipelago consists of six islands, the largest of which is called Koh Phi Phi Don. Here, you’ll find mesmerising spots to bask in the gorgeous Phi Phi Islands’ weather, like the pristine Moo Dee Bay. Pristine white sand meets emerald water, set against a stunning backdrop of lush green jungle.
Other world-class beach holidays in Phi Phi can be found at Maya Bay on Koh Phi Phi Leh – the spectacular setting for the film The Beach. But such is its popularity, it can feel quite crowded in the summer.
For a quieter spot, head to Koh Phai, also known as Bamboo Island. And yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds. If you’ve ever pictured a tropical paradise, this is it. The entire island is framed by golden sands, with bamboo plants in the centre. Off-shore, vibrant coral reefs present outstanding snorkelling opportunities.
If you’re keen to further unleash your inner Nemo and explore deeper under water, there are some truly special diving spots around the Phi Phi Islands, not least Anemone Reef, Shark Point and the King Cruiser Wreck, located between Phi Phi and Phuket.
Don’t miss the chance to experience the famous Viking Cave, located on Koh Phi Phi Leh, which thankfully can be explored without having to don a wetsuit.
With pristine beaches, mouth watering food and a lively nightlife, we’re spoiling you
