Thailand’s gorgeous destination of Phuket offers visitors a sensory overload with its vast array of spectacular sights, sounds and smells, making holidays in Phuket truly engrossing.

Daredevils can also get the adrenaline pumping with the Flying Hanuman, which boasts skybridges and a zipline through the lush jungle towards the north of Phuket. Nearby, Phuket Wake Park and Jungle Bungy Jump are great options for more adventure.

But as mentioned, there’s still plenty of culture and heritage to immerse yourself in, presenting a nice contrast to the beaches and tourist attractions. Phuket Thai Hua Museum provides a fascinating insight into the history of Chinese people in Phuket, while the Chalong Bay Rum Distillery offers tours and tastings to experience the local tipple.

Thailand is also known for its ornate and imposing temples and shrines, and Phuket doesn’t disappoint. The Big Buddha, a 45-metre-tall marble statue, provides wonderful views, while Wat Chalong is a 19th century temple complex, displaying golden statues, Buddha paintings and landscaped gardens.
