Seychelles

Nestled in the Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa, the Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands boasting jaw-dropping beaches, stunning coral reefs, rare animal species and even a mountain rainforest.

Perfect for honeymooning couples, those looking for adventure or simply just a spot of luxury to recharge the batteries, Seychelles holidays are nothing short of breath-taking. Try Google Images if you don’t believe us!

The main island, Mahe, is your gateway to heaven. It’s the busiest island among tourists and locals and with plenty to do, you may decide you don’t need to leave.

Mahe’s eye-popping beaches – such as Anse Intendance – are a given, but they’re not all that’s on offer here. You’ll also find Seychelles National Botanical Gardens, not only boasting a wide array of plants and trees, but also the archipelago’s famous Giant Tortoises.

Also on the island are beautiful hiking trails, such as the Copolia Trail which, while steep in places, will reward you with spectacular views across the capital Victoria and the east side of Mahe. The stunning Morne National Park is another option for keen hikers and nature lovers.

Holidays in the Seychelles are, however, about much more than just the one island. La Digue, for example, boasts a vintage plantation house – L’Union Estate Farm – surrounded by coconut plantations, and is considered a national monument depicting the importance of the plantation both culturally and historically. It just so happens to also have paradise on its doorstep in the form of Anse Source d’Argent – possibly the most photogenic beach in the world. Dreamy white sand and turquoise waters teeming with tropical marine life, all framed by granite boulders make it truly picture-perfect.

On Praslin, an island north-west of Mahe, you’ll find the perfect spots for snorkelling with the family at Anse Lazio.

So, all that’s left is to pick your perfect destination to relax with beach holidays in the Seychelles, or if you get itchy feet and can’t decide on one location, island-hopping cruises provide the ideal alternative.
