Where to go & What to see

You can’t plan city breaks in Los Angeles without factoring in time to take a look around Hollywood. From the iconic Hollywood sign to the Walk of Fame and Hollywood Boulevard, movie fans will be in their element.

The city’s film studios – Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers – all offer fantastic behind-the-scenes tours as well.

If walking in the footsteps of some of the world’s most celebrated film stars doesn’t make you feel inferior enough, be sure to head over to Beverly Hills. Rodeo Drive is the place for a seriously exclusive shopping experience, while at its northern end, the infamous Sunset Boulevard is great for nightlife.

Family holidays in Los Angeles mean one thing – theme parks! With Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter all in town, you can keep little and big kids alike entertained for days.

Alongside the glitz and glamour, LA also boasts its fair share of cultural spots. Griffith Observatory and Park is among the top places to visit. The art deco architecture and beautiful gardens are impressive enough, but as an added bonus it has also great views of Hollywood Hills The Broad and the Getty Centre are also excellent spots for culture vultures, packed full of incredible artwork.

Those looking for something more active during Los Angeles holidays can enjoy spectacular hikes among the Santa Monica Mountains at Runyon Canyon, while for something more relaxing, the city boasts numerous gorgeous beaches, where you can choose to catch some rays or perhaps catch some waves.

Malibu Surfrider Beach is a surfing hotspot, while along the coast, Santa Monica Beach and the famous Santa Monica Pier are ideal for families. For something a bit more relaxed, Hermosa Beach hits the spot.
