Las Vegas Holidays

An Overview

Holidays in Las Vegas need very little introduction. It’s very much the ‘marmite’ of US destinations, but if you love it, you really love it and it’s the sort of place that needs to be seen to be believed.

From roller-coaster boasting hotels to lavish mega-casinos and more neon lights than the 1970s, Vegas doesn’t do things by halves. So, if you’re hoping for a relaxed, quiet getaway, Las Vegas holidays probably aren’t for you. But if you want a real escape from the everyday, to somewhere where everything seems like a bizarre dream, then you’re in for the ride of a lifetime.

But despite what its reputation would have you believe, Las Vegas isn’t all gambling and drinking. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is among the USA’s most stunning natural landscapes and is great for hiking and cycling.

You’ll need a couple of spare days in your schedule to travel there and back comfortably, but if you’ve been lucky in the casinos, you can even splash out on a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon for an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
