Benidorm Holidays

An Overview

Nestled on Spain’s beautiful Costa Blanca, holidays in Benidorm are associated with beaches and nightlife, but the area has so much more to offer all types of holidaymakers.

The Beaches

Sun, sea and sand are all but guaranteed, so Benidorm beach holidays are popular year-round. Playa de Levante, in the heart of the town, is always lively, while the equally gorgeous golden sands of Playa de Poniente next door is a slightly quieter option. Both have plenty of amenities, including restaurants, bars, water sports and volleyball nets. Couples might prefer the smaller sheltered inlet of Mal Pas beach.

What to eat

If you’re looking for a traditional taste of Spain, head to Benidorm’s Old Town, where you will find Calle Santo Domingo – a walkway lined with authentic tapas bars, known (creatively…) as Tapas Alley.

Where to go & What to see

Culture vultures should also head to the white-washed, typically Spanish church of San Jaime and take some time out to admire the spectacular views from Balcon del Mediterraneo.

To further escape the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, take a hike through Serra Gelada Natural Park, where there are more beautiful and mesmeric views to sweep you off your feet. Be sure to take plenty of water, as the weather in Benidorm can get pretty toasty.

There are also plenty of activities and days out which are ideal for family holidays in Benidorm. One of the top attractions is Aqualandia, one of the oldest and best water parks in Spain – and it’s little wonder it’s so popular when you consider the glorious Benidorm weather.

Mundomar – Spain’s answer to Sea World – is also a spot popular with tourists, while Terra Mitica – a theme park with a range of rollercoasters and other rides – and wildlife park Terra Natura are also great for keeping the kids entertained.
