Caribbean holidays with Sunny Heart Travel are truly what dreams are made of. With beautiful landscapes and world-class beaches, plus fascinating wildlife and the odd drop of rum, we can guarantee you’ll never want to leave.

Many beauty spots are offered up by holidays in the Caribbean, but Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica are top of the ‘not to be missed’ category. The stunning waterfalls are set in an equally breath-taking natural park, within close proximity to a gorgeous sandy beach and even zip-lining and bobsledding (minus the ice, we assume) opportunities at Mystic Mountain Rainforest Adventures.

For the really adventurous, Waitukubuli National Trail in Dominica is a coast-to-coast route stretching 115 metres through forests, marine reserves, farmland and national parks. Luckily, it’s split into 14 segments which are slightly easier to manage, so you can opt to tackle just a small section.

For the really, really adventurous, the opportunity to climb St Lucia’s Gros Piton can’t be passed up. The 786-metre ascent makes it the island’s second-highest peak but it’s so iconic, it just has to be done. And the views aren’t bad either.

The Three Eyes National Park in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is a series of three interconnected caves which you can tour and explore, while Harrison’s Cave in Barbados – accessible by tram – and the Green Grotto Caves in Jamaica are also really cool.

Coffee lovers should head to Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, renowned for producing what is reputedly the world’s best coffee. But you can be the judge of that – and we won’t blame you for letting the breath-taking setting cloud your judgement!

With the legendary Caribbean Sea never too far away, the islands are blessed with spectacular swimming and diving experiences. Big Major Cay in The Bahamas is probably the coolest place in the world, as you get to swim with pigs! For something a little more conventional, head to Stingray City in the Cayman Islands.

Moliniere Underwater Sculpture Park off the coast of Grenada, is a popular spot among divers, while the Columbus Passage, between the Turks and Caicos islands, is a great area for divers to see rays, turtles, humpback whales and dolphins.

And then there’s the Caribbean beach holidays. Nothing says ‘heaven’ better than a week or two exploring the Caribbean’s plethora of jaw-dropping beaches, cocktail in hand. Cable Beach on Nassau in The Bahamas hits the spot, with pristine white beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, while Saona Island off the south-east coast of the Dominican Republic is everything you imagine paradise to be. For a different beach experience, head to Maho Beach in Saint Martin, where planes skim overhead as they land at Princess Juliana International Airport.
